I spent some time comparing Desktops in Consumer Reports and online, and wondered why they didn't show this as a Best Buy since it seemed to be a good value. Well the very next monthly edition had this PC rated as a Best Buy, so I bought it! Only had it a week but it seems to be exactly as advertized. Primary uses are email and Office applications. I'm very happy with it.

I am glad that I bought this item. I started to buy another one and I am glad I didn't. It is really fast and came loaded for what I wanted to use it for. I would recommend this product to any one. I also like the price and free shipping. Thanks again Amazon for another good buy.

Replaced a 6 year old desktop unit --- so lots of files to transfer over and attached hardware. New Dell unit was easy to set up, Windows 7 found my printer driver automatically, Amazon delivered within 3 days right before the holidays (no premium delivery paid for). Very pleased with product from Dell and service from Amazon.

After reading the review of Dell Inspiron i580-6736NBC in PC Magazine, I purchased it. After having it for 6 weeks, it started not wanting to shut down. I called Dell and was told that the Dell Desktop only included hardware and that I had to purchase a software contract which would cover software. This contract was priced at $239 for 1 year, $299 for 2 years and over $300 for 3 years. In other words, after you purchase the computer, you must continue to pay annually just in order to keep it working. The Indian techs at iYogi claimed that this is something new in computers. I would have never bought a Dell if I had known this.
