This computer is an exceptional buy. It is super fast the monitor is GORGEOUS you can easily watch movies or play video games that is how ginormous it is! I gave it 4 out of 5 stars because honestly I feel that Dell SHOULD have added ADDITIONAL USB ports

This is a fast PC that comes with an amazing amount of memory and speed for the price. I just recieved it today and I am very pleased. The monitor is clear and large. The PC turned on and took only a few minutes to load Windows 7. One thing to point out is it comes with small antennas that you attach to the tower for the wireless internet which I wasn't expecting, but no big deal. Also it does come with speakers which I could not find on the discription on Amazon. Just so people know it is does include these things.

This is a very nice looking computer that has excellent performance at a very reasonable price. The only weak point are the included speakers, which work OK, but I used a better quality set I already had.

The included display is 1080p. At the price I was actually expecting less, and it doesn't say 1080p anywhere in the description that I could find. It looks really nice.

You get a speedy 64-bit CPU, 6GIG of Ram, 1TB disk, Windows 7 Home Premium, and a big beautiful HD monitor all for under $800. I'm considering getting another one just like it.

Fri 3/04/2011 7:30 am. This is a lovely unit; sprightly, even with its unfortunate disability (see next) and an impressive screen. So much for the flattery. (1.) I received a unit with only *3* gigabytes of RAM, instead of the advertised six. I would recommend any computer purchaser find the Windows "computer" icon, right click it, select "properties" and then look around the resulting page to see how much RAM *you* have. So I am very sad, and am returning the unit. (2.) When the modern computer advertises 6 USB ports, that actually means *three*. Because you have to plug the mouse, the keyboard, and speakers, each into a USB port. No big deal once you know about it; USB hubs are pretty cheap; but it's that nice extra touch of scammery that really distinguishes a product. (3.) The box is *HUGE*; *HEAVY*. The strong computer user will pay no mind, but we weaklings suffer. It's a major reason I'm not interested in returning it and seeing if Dell can send me *another* 6 gigabyte unit with 3 gigabytes of RAM. It's just too painful. In the future, I will avoid screen/computer combos for just this reason; the weight is much more manageable in two packages....

The positives:

Bought this system two months ago and its been very good so far. Setup was quite easy. The monitor is great, contrast is quite good.
Since it includes a Wireless adapter for internet, you dont need to run long cables from modem to the computer. So moving the system around (if you need to) is quite easy. I used it for video editing, voice recording, games and so far, and its been very fast. The 6GB of RAM and 1TB of hard disk is a great bonus.

Things that could be better:
- A DVI or a HDMI cable could have been included in the package. The system only have VGA output, which is still okay for 1920x1200 resolution.
- Additional speaker included in the package is not all that good. Sound is too deep and almost feels like a echo.

Haven't found anything negative so far.

I recommend the Inspiron 570 MT (Minitower) as a gift for an elderly person who may have offended you in the past and now you want him to feel inept.

Dell has used a genius of an industrial designer to conceal its controls. I did not install the computer myself. I paid a local store to send a tech person. If there was an owner's manual in the carton from Dell, he did not give it to me. In the excitement I forgot to look in the bottom of the carton before disposing of it. Installation cost me $272.

Before the tech person left, I asked him why there were no buttons on the mouse. He told me to press the locations on the mouse where the buttons should be. I was not embarrassed to ask the question.

A few days later, I wondered where the disk drive was. I called Dell customer support (in India I presume) and spent ten minutes answering their questions. Finally I lost patience and told them it would take no more than 10 seconds for an American car rental firm to tell me where the steering wheel was if I could not find it myself. They arranged for me to use a software command to open the disk drive. They were unable to describe the location of the button to open or close it.
The button is built to look like part of the bezel---and fooled me, even though I was a boy magician in the 1950s and thought I could figure things out.

Six weeks after purchase I noticed the monitor's pilot light was out while the computer was in power-saving (sleep) mode. I could not revive it. I went back to the store and requested a half-hour visit to my abode to see if he could revive the monitor before I called Dell. He came and immediately found the monitor's power switch had been turned off accidentally. That cost me $103. I would have checked the switch myself but it's designed to resemble part of the frame and actually looks like a pilot light.

So, I am a senior citizen who feels inept. If you have someone that should feel inept, buy him a Dell Inspiron 570.

I bought this computer from amazon in November for $702.00. It's really fast and the 23" monitor is huge and great for watching movies. It is excellent for use as a home pc. It comes with a pair of speakers also and the piano black look and the hidden dvd drive and front ports gives a sleek finish. The price was originally $798 but I added it to my cart as I do with all other products and monitored the price for a week and within 5 days it dropped to $702. I am really happy with this purchase.

The computer arrived 7 days ahead of scheduled date. The computer and monitor were in excellent shape and the setup was fast. All systems are working fine so far.
